Amiga mouse restore
The A1200 mouse wasn't as well made as the A500 one. Left mouse button required persuasion to work.
Solution was to hot air gun the old button and replace with another I salvaged from some old electronics. Any excuse to melt some electronics off a circuit board.
The insides were all green. I think the old rubber disintegrated, at least that's what I hope it is.
A quick desolder (or melting as it turned out) removed the old switch and a new one was soldered at a jaunty angle
It's alive and working again without needing to hammer the left mouse button to do anything
